Using this cell

Fill the cell so the liquid fully covers the beam region used by your instrument, then use the closure arrangement required by your procedure if you want the sample covered during handling or measurement. Keep the optical faces clean, remove bubbles from the light path and use the same orientation for blank and sample runs.

The 350 µL figure is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a minimum working volume. If your method uses low fill levels, check the actual beam coverage in your instrument before relying on the nominal value alone.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, neck opening and body for dust, residue or handling marks.
Rinse with a suitable cleaning liquid for your method and assembly.
Run a blank at the measurement wavelength before introducing the sample.
Confirm that the filled sample covers the beam area without trapped bubbles.

Fit and optical alignment

The body dimensions are 3.5 × 12.5 × 35 mm, and the uncapped overall height is 55 mm including the neck. These dimensions are useful for checking holder width, vertical clearance and access around the top of the cell.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Molded 83 fabrication. That construction is commonly chosen for methods involving organic solvents or temperature-controlled work, but chemical compatibility depends on the full assembly and on the actual liquid, concentration, temperature and contact time used in your process.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid with quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue and use a cleaning routine suitable for both the cell and the closure arrangement you plan to use.
