Description

C202WS is a JGS1 quartz flow cell for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 20 mm optical path and 2.6 mL nominal capacity. It uses a Two-Way Light layout with two opposed fluid tubes, so it suits straight-through optical use where you want connections on opposite ends of the cell rather than on the same face.

The optical body is compact at 22.5 × 12.5 × 24 mm, while the uncapped fixed-parts envelope reaches 45 mm. That distinction is useful when you need to check holder seating separately from the extra height taken up by the projecting connection sections.

Using this cell

Connect tubing to the two opposed ports and support the cell by its body during setup. Fill gradually so liquid reaches the optical region without trapping bubbles, then run the blank after the circuit has stabilized in the same orientation you will use for the sample.

The nominal cell volume is separate from the rest of your tubing and any external loop volume. No pressure rating is specified, so review operating pressure for the complete connected system before using the cell in a pressurized circuit.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and both tube openings before connecting the cell.
Test the holder fit with the actual body and allow clearance for tubing on both ends.
After filling, confirm that the illuminated region is free of bubbles, droplets and dried residue.

Fit and optical alignment

Check both holder clearance and beam position before ordering. The optical body is smaller than the full installed envelope, so leave room not only for the body but also for the projecting connection sections on both ends.

Z Height is not listed for this model. If your instrument or holder depends on a defined beam-center height, verify that separately before purchase.

Solvents and cleaning

Molded 83 is commonly selected for organic-solvent methods and applications involving temperature control. Choose the sample and cleaning routine for the complete cell assembly, including any connected fittings and tubing.

Keep hydrofluoric acid away from quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
