Using this cell

Fill the cell from the top so the sample fully covers the beam region used by your instrument. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample, clear visible bubbles before reading, and avoid touching the optical faces during handling.

The lid is for covering the opening during routine use, but this is not a sealed pressure assembly. The stated 10.5 mL value is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a specified minimum working volume.

Inspect the optical faces and edges for chips, residue or shipping marks.
Place the uncapped cell in your holder to confirm seating and clearance.
Rinse with a suitable liquid for your method, then run a blank before sample measurement.

Fit and optical alignment
