Using this cell

Fill the cell from the top and make sure the liquid level fully covers the beam during measurement. Before reading, remove visible bubbles from the optical path and keep the same cell orientation for blank and sample if your procedure depends on a fixed beam direction.

The open top is useful when you want simple pipette access or need to rinse and reload by hand between runs. Handle the cell by non-optical surfaces where possible to keep the transmission faces clean.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and chamber for chips, dust or residue from transit and handling.
Rinse the cell with a cleaning liquid suitable for your procedure.
Test the empty body in your holder and confirm beam access through the intended faces.
After filling, check that the beam area is fully covered and free from trapped bubbles.
