C054WS is a JGS1 quartz fluorescence cuvette for fluorescence spectroscopy, combining a 5 mm optical path with Four-Way Light geometry and a single open neck. Its 1.75 mL nominal capacity, 45 mm body height and narrow 12.5 × 7.5 mm base help when you need a compact cell that still leaves direct access from above for filling and handling.

This version also has an 8 mm tube OD at the top. That upper section matters for practical installation: the base footprint is only part of the space the cell occupies once it is in a holder or fixture.

Using this cell

Fill and empty the cell through the open neck at the top. Keep the optical faces clean and make sure the sample region is free from visible bubbles, droplets and dried residue before measurement.

For fluorescence work, keep the cell orientation consistent between blank and sample measurements so the same optical faces are used each time. The 1.75 mL figure is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a stated minimum working volume, so partial-fill methods should be checked against your own beam position and measurement routine.

First-use check

Before first use, inspect the optical faces and the neck opening for chips, scratches, particles or residue. Rinse with a liquid suitable for your method, seat the cell in the intended holder, and run a blank in the same orientation you will use for the sample.

Fit and optical alignment

The base dimensions are 12.5 × 7.5 mm and the body height is 45 mm, but the neck projects above the body. Plan for insertion, filling and finger clearance around the upper section rather than checking fit from the base footprint alone.

Four-Way Light describes the optical access geometry of the cuvette itself. Z Height is not listed for this option, so do not assume beam-center alignment from the outer height alone if your holder or instrument requires a defined beam position.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Molded 83 fabrication in JGS1 quartz. Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
