Description

The C601TC is a 60 ml quartz screw-cap sample bottle manufactured from JGS2 Optical-Grade fused quartz — offering exceptional Vis-NIR transparency from 350 to 1,500 nm and outstanding chemical resistance to acids, bases, and organic solvents. Sealed with a PP screw cap with PTFE gasket for a leak-proof, chemically inert closure. The cylindrical body measures 30 mm OD × 128 mm height with a cylindrical clear body — suitable for both sample storage and direct spectroscopic measurement. 1 pc/ea.

JGS2 (Optical-Grade fused quartz) delivers excellent optical transmission from 350 nm through 1,500 nm in the Vis-NIR range NIR — far superior to borosilicate glass which cuts off below 340 nm. JGS2 quartz is chemically inert against acids (HCl, H₂SO₄, HNO₃), bases (NaOH, KOH), and organic solvents (acetone, ethanol, toluene, DMSO). It withstands thermal shock and continuous temperatures up to 1,100 °C, making it ideal for demanding analytical and synthetic chemistry workflows.

Usage & Care

Cleaning: Rinse with distilled water, ethanol, or acetone. For stubborn residues, soak in dilute HNO₃ or piranha solution. Avoid hydrofluoric acid (HF). Temperature: The quartz body withstands continuous use up to 1,100 °C. The PP cap is rated to ~120 °C; remove cap before high-temperature processing or switch to a PTFE or quartz cap for higher-temp needs. Handling: Hold by the threaded neck or body; avoid touching optical surfaces with bare fingers to prevent fingerprint residue.
