Quartz Cell with Clear Front and Base: Planning Two Adjacent Viewing Directions
Custom Design Guides · MQQHC001
MQQHC001 is an open rectangular quartz-cell reference with front and bottom viewing regions. The listed outside envelope is 50 × 30 × 30 mm.
The bottom can become an active interface rather than simply the face resting on a bench. That changes how the cell should be supported when observation from below is part of the proposed setup.

The configuration discussed here
What changes from the simpler form?
Using the bottom as a viewing interface changes the role of a face that often rests on the support. The fixture must leave that region accessible while still locating the open sample container.
Mark each viewing direction on the same sketch
Show the intended front and lower viewing axes, the required clear areas and the sample region of interest. A transparent face does not guarantee that the support or surrounding apparatus leaves it visible.
Avoid using the full outside width as the clear aperture. The holder overlap and the cell's actual wall and base geometry belong in the section drawing.
Support the vessel around the lower view
If the experiment looks through the bottom, identify where the load can be carried without blocking that view. A broad flat support may suit bench preparation while obstructing the optical arrangement.
Give the working sample amount and the surrounding fixture geometry. The available reference does not establish a particular microscope stage, clamping load or holder interchangeability.
Keep loading access above the sample
The open mouth provides access for adding or retrieving material, but the actual tool needs clearance above it. Include the pipette, probe or other intended tool in the layout if it must stay in place during observation.
For a proposed custom version, a taller wall or different footprint should be reviewed with that access and the viewing axes. Increasing the container size alone does not preserve the same usable view.
Specify what must be checked at the windows
If surface quality, flatness, transmission or another optical criterion matters, state the relevant face and measurement conditions. A clear product view is not a reported optical result.
Agree the outside dimensions, clear regions and any inspection record on the ordered configuration. The support and cell can then be reviewed against the same drawing references.

Can the cell rest directly on a stage during bottom observation?
That depends on the stage and required lower aperture. Provide the stage support and viewing section so the base is supported without obscuring the intended region.
Send a drawing or the mating-part details
Send a section showing the lower view and support. MQ can then review the open cell as part of the observation arrangement.
- Front and bottom viewing axes and clear areas
- Holder or stage section and allowed contacts
- Working sample amount and loading tools
- Outside envelope and any proposed change
- Face-specific optical and dimensional checks
Modified designs are reviewed for the project. The drawing, supplied parts, quantity, inspection scope, price and preparation or production time are agreed in the quotation.
Details to settle for the ordered configuration
Stage fit, clear apertures, optical performance and support limits require configuration-specific confirmation.
