Description

C102CS28 is a JGS3 quartz micro cuvette for infrared spectroscopy and visible absorbance measurements. It keeps a 10 mm optical path in a compact body, while the 4 mm sample region and 1.4 mL nominal capacity make it a useful choice when your method needs a little more illuminated width than the narrower 3 mm version. This sale unit is for 1 cuvette with a PTFE lid.

Choose this option

Choose C102CS28 when you want a compact micro cuvette with a standard 10 mm path and a 4 mm sample region for straight-through transmission work. That combination can suit holders that take a smaller body while giving you a wider sample section than the 3 mm alternative. It is sold as a single cuvette, which is helpful when you need one replacement or one defined working cell rather than a two-piece pack.

What makes this option different

  • 10 mm optical path in a compact micro cuvette format.
  • 4 mm sample-region width for a wider illuminated section than the 3 mm version in this series.
  • 1.4 mL nominal capacity for this cell geometry.
  • 1 cuvette per price unit with PTFE lid included.

Using this cell

Fill the cell so the illuminated region is fully covered, then inspect the optical path for bubbles or droplets before measurement. Keep the seating direction consistent between blank and sample runs so beam position and orientation stay the same.

The 1.4 mL figure is the nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume. If you use a lower fill level, check beam coverage in your own holder and method conditions before routine use.

First-use check

  1. Inspect the cuvette and lid for chips, dust or residue.
  2. Test-fit the uncapped body in your holder and check lid clearance separately.
  3. Run a blank at your intended fill level to confirm full beam coverage and stable seating.

Fit and optical alignment

The listed 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm dimensions apply to the uncapped cell body. Use those dimensions for holder fit, and allow extra top clearance if the lid remains installed during measurement.

Z Height is not stated for this option, so instrument matching should be checked where beam-center position is critical. The 4 mm sample region should also be reviewed against your beam footprint and holder geometry.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Standard 80 fabrication with an adhesive-bonded quartz body. For routine room-temperature water-based samples and buffers, this is the usual selection direction. Avoid organic sample solvents and organic cleaning agents with this construction.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Rinse promptly after use, and clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.

Included with this option

1 cuvette per listed price unit. Closure included.

Availability and ordering

Order this specification directly, or contact us to check current availability and dispatch timing. If temporarily unavailable, additional preparation or production time may be needed. For a required delivery date, contact us before checkout; preparation or production is separate from carrier transit and customs clearance.

Discuss a custom version

If your setup needs a different path length, sample-region geometry, closure arrangement or holder fit, send a labelled drawing or sketch together with your holder or instrument details. Discuss your requirements and quote part number C102CS28.
