Description

C0.22WS4 is a quartz flow cell for short-path UV/Vis flow measurements, combining a 0.2 mm optical path with a 60 µL nominal capacity. The flat 45 × 12.5 × 2.7 mm body and two fixed tube connections make it useful when you want the optical section and the line connection layout planned as one compact assembly.

This version uses integrated forming and is listed for 200–2500 nm use. The tube ends are specified at 5 mm outer diameter and 3 mm inner diameter, which helps when you review how the cell joins the rest of your liquid path.

Using this cell

Connect the cell into a suitable flow line and fill it slowly so the chamber wets evenly. Before measurement, inspect the optical region for trapped bubbles, droplets or residue, since a short-path cell is sensitive to anything left sitting in the illuminated section.

The 60 µL figure refers to the nominal volume inside the cell itself. It does not include the added liquid volume held in connected tubing, pumps or fittings.

First-use check

Confirm that the cell sits flat and the tubing connects without twisting or side-loading the body.
Run a suitable blank through the cell and check that the optical region fills completely.
Verify that no visible air gaps remain in the illuminated path before measurement.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated 45 × 12.5 × 2.7 mm dimensions apply to the flat cell body only. The fixed tube sections project beyond that body, so check holder seating, clamp space and tubing routing around the connection area before ordering.

Z Height is not specified for this SKU. If your holder or instrument depends on a defined beam-center height, confirm that requirement before purchase rather than relying on body size alone.

Solvents and cleaning

Molded 83 is commonly chosen for organic-solvent methods and applications involving temperature control. Select cleaning and handling conditions for the complete wetted assembly, including any tubing or fittings used with the cell.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Rinse promptly after use and wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
