Using this cell

Connect the fluid lines to the opposed tube ends and fill the chamber slowly so the optical region wets evenly. Because the chamber is larger than a micro-flow design, make sure your blank and sample sequence accounts for the chamber plus the connected line volume in the rest of the system.

Watch the window area for trapped bubbles and let the reading stabilise after the chamber is fully filled. The 3.5 mL figure is the nominal cell volume only, not the total volume of the external tubing circuit.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and tube ends before connecting the cell.

Fit and optical alignment

Molded 83 is an MQ fabrication option often chosen for methods involving organic solvents and temperature-controlled work. Select the sample and cleaning routine for the complete flow path, including any connected tubing and fittings used with the cell.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Clean the optical faces gently, and check full-assembly suitability before using aggressive chemicals or long exposure times.
