Description

C0.52WS1 is a quartz flow cell for UV/Vis flow measurements, combining a 0.5 mm optical path with a 150 µL nominal capacity. Its 45 × 12.5 × 3 mm flat body and fixed two-port layout give you a compact optical section with direct tubing connection in one integrated piece.

This option is listed for 200–2500 nm use and uses integrated forming. The tube ends are specified at 5 mm outer diameter and 3 mm inner diameter, which helps when matching the cell to the rest of the liquid line.

Using this cell

Install the cell in a suitable flow line and fill it gradually so the chamber wets fully before measurement. Check the illuminated section for bubbles or residue and allow the blank to stabilize after the complete flow path has filled.

The nominal 150 µL value describes the cell chamber itself. The total liquid held in your system will be higher once connected tubing, pumps and fittings are included.

First-use check

Confirm that the cell seats securely and that connected lines do not pull the body out of position.
Run a suitable blank through the installed cell and inspect the optical region for trapped air.
Verify that the flow path is fully filled and stable before sample measurement.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated 45 × 12.5 × 3 mm dimensions apply to the flat cell body only. Because the fixed tube sections project beyond the body, check holder clearance, nearby hardware and line routing around the mounted cell.

Z Height is not specified for this SKU. If your instrument requires a defined bottom-to-beam position, please verify that before ordering rather than assuming compatibility from the body shape alone.

Solvents and cleaning

Molded 83 is commonly chosen for organic-solvent methods and applications involving temperature control. Choose handling and cleaning conditions for the complete wetted assembly, including any tubing and fittings connected to the cell.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Rinse after use and wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
