Using this cell

Fill the cell with sample, then fit the PTFE closure if your procedure calls for a covered cell during transfer or measurement. Keep the optical faces clean and free of droplets, residue and fingerprints, and keep the same orientation for blank and sample when your method depends on a fixed face relationship.

The 3.5 mL figure is the nominal cell capacity, not a minimum working volume. If your method uses a low fill level, check that the liquid covers the beam path in the orientation you plan to use.

First-use check

Before first use, inspect all optical faces under good light and check that the cap seats smoothly on the threaded opening. Rinse with a suitable blank or cleaning liquid for your method, then run a blank in the intended orientation before measuring samples.

Fit and optical alignment

The base is 12.5 × 12.5 mm, with a 45 mm uncapped height and 55 mm overall height when capped. Those dimensions help with holder and compartment-clearance checks, especially above the cuvette position if you plan to measure with the cap installed.

Z Height is not specified for this option. If your instrument or holder requires a defined beam-center height, verify that separately rather than assuming compatibility from the outer body size alone. The M10 thread identifies the sample-access closure and is not a pressure rating or fluid fitting standard.

Solvents and cleaning

Choose sample and cleaning conditions for the full assembly, including the quartz body and PTFE closure. The exact chemical limits of this assembled cell are not established here, so aggressive solvents, long contact times or demanding cleaning routines should be checked before use.
