C502CS8 is a large-format JGS1 quartz cuvette for UV/Vis methods that use a 50 mm optical path and a broad static sample chamber. Its 125 mL nominal capacity and 50 × 50 × 53 mm internal space make it easier to fill, inspect and rinse from above than a narrow cell. This option includes a lid, while the optical layout remains a straightforward Two-Way Light transmission path through opposite sides.

Using this cell

Fill the cell from the top and keep the liquid level high enough for the beam path used by your instrument. Remove visible bubbles from the transmission path before measurement, and keep the same orientation for blank and sample if your procedure depends on consistent positioning.

The broad square chamber is suited to static liquid loading rather than tubing connections or flow use. The lid is for covering the opening during handling and setup; it should not be treated as a leak-tight, pressure-rated or transport-sealed closure.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and chamber for residue, dust or handling marks before first use. Rinse with a cleaning liquid suitable for your process, test the empty cell in the holder for stable seating, and run your blank in the same orientation planned for the sample.

Fit and optical alignment

The body dimensions are 54 × 54 × 55 mm, and these figures apply to the body only rather than a lid-inclusive overall size. Check that your holder can accept the square body and that the beam is aligned through the intended pair of opposite optical faces used for Two-Way Light transmission.
