C504CS1 is a large JGS1 quartz cuvette built around a 50 mm optical path and a broad square sample chamber. Using this cell

Fill the cell from the top and keep the liquid level above the beam region used in your instrument. Before measurement, remove bubbles from any face used in the optical path and keep the same orientation for blank and sample when your method depends on consistent positioning.

Because this is a Four-Way Light cell, keep all optical faces clean if your setup uses more than one viewing direction. Handle the cuvette by non-optical surfaces where possible to reduce fingerprints and residue on the window areas.

First-use check

Before first use, inspect the optical faces and the top opening for chips, residue or fingerprints. Test the empty cell in the holder first, then run a suitable blank to confirm that the beam passes through the intended faces with the liquid level above the measurement region.

Fit and optical alignment
