Quartz 50mm Standard Cuvette With Lid, 125ml, Sintered 83, Five-Way Light, Quartz Cover, 1pc/ea, C505CR6
Description
Premium quartz construction and Sintered 83 fabrication — sintered from high-purity quartz with >83% transmittance, ensuring minimal background absorption across the full UV-Vis-NIR range — make the C505CR6 an excellent choice for demanding spectroscopic work. This high-capacity cell offers 50 mm path length with 125 ml volume. Features four vertical faces plus the base polished to optical grade, enabling absorbance, fluorescence, and bottom-illumination measurements. Includes a precision-ground quartz lid that sits flush atop the cuvette, reducing evaporation of volatile solvents and protecting samples from airborne contamination during measurement.

Applications
Why Five-Way Light?
Five-way light cuvettes have all four vertical faces plus the base polished to optical grade. This enables standard absorbance, 90° fluorescence, and bottom-illumination measurements — offering maximum flexibility for multi-technique instruments and custom optical setups.
Why Sintered 83?
Sintered 83 cuvettes are fabricated by sintering high-purity quartz at extreme temperatures, achieving >83% transmittance with exceptional optical clarity. The sintering process creates a robust, chemically resistant structure that withstands repeated exposure to aggressive solvents, concentrated acids, and bases (avoid HF).
Rinse with a compatible solvent (e.g., ethanol or the measurement solvent) before first use to remove residual particles. Do not use abrasive materials on polished optical faces — wipe gently with lens tissue. Withstands all common laboratory solvents, concentrated acids, and bases. Avoid HF (hydrofluoric acid). Store in the original protective case to prevent scratches on the optical windows.
