Precision 100mm glass cuvette for visible and NIR spectroscopy (350–2000 nm). The extended 100 mm optical path length dramatically increases absorbance sensitivity per the Beer–Lambert law, making it ideal for trace-level measurements. 35 ml capacity, two-way light windows, PTFE cap, and Sintered 80 construction. SKU: C1002CA2
Description
The C1002CA2 is a 100 mm glass cuvette engineered for visible and near-infrared spectroscopy across 350–2000 nm. The extended optical path length is ten times that of a standard 10 mm cell, multiplying absorbance readings by a factor of ten according to the Beer–Lambert law (A = εlc). This makes the C1002CA2 exceptionally well-suited for trace-level analysis where analyte concentrations are too low for reliable detection in shorter-path cuvettes. Sintered 80 construction fuses the optical windows at 600 °C for superior chemical resistance and delivers transmittance greater than 80 % at 350 nm. The PTFE cap prevents evaporation during extended measurement runs.

Why 100mm Path Length?
A 100 mm optical path is ten times the standard 10 mm cell, directly increasing the measured absorbance by a factor of ten for any given concentration (Beer–Lambert law: A = εlc). This makes the C1002CA2 the go-to choice for detecting analytes at very low concentrations — such as trace metals in drinking water, residual contaminants in pharmaceutical processes, or dilute chromophores in environmental samples — where a 10 mm cell would yield absorbance values too close to zero for reliable quantification. The Sintered 80 construction ensures that the extended body remains leak-free and chemically resistant under repeated use.
