Using this cell

Fill the sample from the top opening, then place the lid as supplied if your handling routine calls for a covered cell. Before measurement, check that the liquid level covers the beam area used by your instrument and remove visible bubbles from the optical faces.

For routine blank and sample work, keep the same orientation each time if your procedure depends on repeatable positioning. Handle the cuvette by the outer non-optical surfaces to reduce fingerprints on the clear faces.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, rim and lid for chips, residue or packing dust before first use. Place the empty cell in your holder first, then rinse with a suitable liquid for your method and confirm that the beam passes through the intended faces without obstruction.
