Description
MQQMC081 is a JGS1 quartz demountable cuvette for fluorescence spectroscopy and solid or powder sample measurement where direct access to the sample region is important. This design combines a removable cover plate, a 0.8 mm optical path and a rectangular 8 × 10 mm sample recess, so you can place the sample, inspect it and then assemble the measuring area before use.

Structure and dimensions
Using this cell
Place the sample into the rectangular recess, then seat the cover plate carefully so the measurement region is evenly covered. This format is useful for samples that need to be positioned rather than simply poured into a fully enclosed cell, including solid or powder work within the stated applications.
Handle both quartz pieces with support under the plates, and avoid dragging the cover roughly across the sample surface. The nominal capacity is 64 µL, but it is not a stated minimum working volume.
First-use check

- Assemble the cell in the intended holder and run a blank or background in the same orientation used for the sample.

The stated dimensions belong to the separate body plate and cover plate, not to a confirmed assembled envelope. Check holder width, plate support and clamping method against your fixture, especially if the mount controls both plate alignment and beam position.
The recess has a stated 5 mm top-edge offset, but that value is not a beam-center height. Z Height is not established for this option, so instruments with a fixed optical height should be checked against the actual sample region before ordering or first use.
Solvents and cleaning
Standard 80 is an adhesive-bonded quartz construction typically chosen for routine room-temperature aqueous samples and buffers. For this reason, avoid organic samples and organic cleaning solvents with this cell.
If your method involves organic solvents, heated treatment or more demanding chemical exposure, ask about a more suitable Sintered or Molded alternative before ordering. Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz, avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
