Using this cell

Fill the cell so the illuminated region is fully covered during measurement. The 700 µL figure is the nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume, so the practical fill level depends on your beam position, beam footprint and measurement setup.

Use the same orientation for blank and sample measurements, and keep bubbles out of the beam area. Clean the optical faces and the sample region carefully between runs so residue does not remain across the light path.

First-use check

Inspect the cell on arrival, rinse it with a cleaning liquid suitable for your method, and test-fit the empty body in your holder. A blank run is a practical first check for seating, beam position and fill coverage before sample use.

Fit and optical alignment

The uncapped cell dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm. These dimensions apply to the bare cuvette body, so check holder opening, seating depth and any top clearance needed for the closure if it will remain in place during handling or measurement.

Z Height is not listed for this option. The 2 mm sample-region width is relevant to beam placement, so if your instrument depends on a defined beam-center height or tightly fixed beam position, verify that fit before ordering.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Standard 80 adhesive-bonded quartz construction. It is suited to routine water-based samples and buffers at room temperature. Avoid organic sample solvents and organic cleaning agents with this construction.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning methods. For routine handling, rinse promptly after use and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical-surface wipes.
