Using this cell

Fill each cuvette so the illuminated region is fully covered during measurement, and keep bubbles away from the beam area. The 700 µL value is the nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume, so your actual fill level should be based on your beam position and method setup.

If you use one cuvette for blank and the other for sample or duplicate runs, keep the orientation consistent in the holder. Clean the optical faces and sample region carefully between runs so residue does not remain across the light path.

First-use check

Inspect both cuvettes on arrival, rinse them with a cleaning liquid suitable for your method, and test-fit the empty bodies in your holder. A blank run is a useful first step to confirm stable seating, beam coverage and clean optical faces before sample measurements begin.

Fit and optical alignment

The uncapped cell dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm. These dimensions apply to the bare cuvette body, so check holder seating and top clearance separately if the supplied closures will remain in place during handling or measurement.

Z Height is not listed for this option. Because the sample-region width is 2 mm, beam placement still matters, so verify compatibility if your instrument depends on a defined beam-center height or tightly fixed beam position.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Standard 80 adhesive-bonded quartz construction. It is suited to routine water-based samples and buffers at room temperature. Avoid organic sample solvents and organic cleaning agents with this construction.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue or other suitable optical-surface wipes.
