C102CS8 is a JGS1 quartz Micro Cuvette for UV/Vis measurements, combining a 10 mm optical path with a 1.75 mL nominal capacity in a compact 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm uncapped body. Its Two-Way Light layout and 5 mm sample region make it a useful choice when you need transmission measurements across the stated 200 to 2500 nm range without moving to a larger cell format. This adhesive-bonded construction is supplied as a Standard 80 type. That matters when you choose samples and cleaning liquids, because the bonded assembly has narrower chemical limits than all-quartz fused constructions.

Using this cell

Fill the cell so the beam passes through a fully covered liquid region, and keep the optical faces free from bubbles, droplets and dried residue. For blank and sample measurements, use the same seating orientation each time, especially when alignment matters to your method.

The stated 1.75 mL is the nominal cuvette capacity, not a minimum working volume. If you plan to use less liquid, check that the actual filled height still covers the beam in your instrument.

First-use check

Inspect the quartz faces and edges for particles, chips or residue.
Rinse with a compatible liquid before measurement.
Test fit in the holder and run a blank in the same orientation you intend to use for samples.

Fit and optical alignment

Solvents and cleaning

This adhesive-bonded Standard 80 quartz cuvette is intended for neutral solutions only within the supplier’s stated limits. It is suited to routine aqueous or buffered work at room conditions rather than organic-solvent methods.

Do not soak or rinse with ethanol, and do not use acids, alkalis or organic solvents with this construction. Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and review the lid together with the cell body as part of the full wetted assembly.
