C102CS40 is a quartz Micro Cuvette for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 10 mm optical path, Two-Way Light layout and 1.75 mL nominal capacity. Its 5 mm sample-region width gives a defined reading zone in a compact cell body, and a closure is included. Sold per 1 cuvette.
Description
C102CS40 is a quartz Micro Cuvette for UV/Vis measurements that need a 10 mm optical path in a compact format. This version combines a 1.75 mL nominal capacity with a 5 mm sample-region width, making it a useful choice when you want a defined transmission region together with a larger fill volume than the smaller cells in the same family. A closure is included, and this option is described for neutral-solution use.

Choose this option
Choose C102CS40 when your method uses a standard 10 mm path but you want more nominal volume than the smaller micro-cuvette options. The 5 mm sample-region width gives a wider defined liquid region than the narrower slit versions, which can be helpful when planning filling practice and beam placement in straightforward UV/Vis transmission work.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path for standard UV/Vis transmission measurements.
- 1.75 mL nominal capacity for the largest stated fill volume among these listed slit-width variants.
- 5 mm sample-region width for a wider defined reading zone than the narrower versions.
- Closure included with the listed cuvette.
Using this cell
Fill the cell so the measurement region is completely covered, and keep bubbles or droplets out of the optical path. Use the same orientation for blank and sample measurements to keep the transmission path consistent.
The 1.75 mL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume. If your method uses partial fills or depends on a fixed beam position, check in the instrument that the liquid level still fully covers the beam during measurement.
First-use check
- Inspect the optical faces for dust, residue or chips.
- Test the cell in the holder without forcing it.
- Run a blank and confirm a fully covered, bubble-free measurement region.
- Keep the same orientation for the full measurement series.
Fit and optical alignment
The uncapped body is 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm. Use those dimensions for holder fit and compartment clearance for the bare cell body.
The supplied closure is separate from that body envelope, so top clearance should be checked separately where vertical space is limited. Z Height is not established for this SKU, so do not assume a beam-center match from the 10 mm path length alone.
Solvents and cleaning
This is an adhesive-bonded quartz cell in Standard 80 fabrication. For this construction, routine room-temperature water-based samples and buffer solutions are the safer use case. Avoid organic samples and organic cleaning solvents with this cell.
This option is described for neutral solutions. The chemical limits of the full cell and closure assembly are not established here, so methods involving more demanding reagents, long contact times or unusual rinse liquids should be checked before use.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning methods, and clean the exterior optical faces gently with non-scratching lab tissue.
Included with this option
1 cuvette per listed price unit. Closure included.
Availability and ordering

For a required delivery date, contact us before checkout; preparation or production is separate from carrier transit and customs clearance.
Discuss a custom version
We coordinate custom JGS1 quartz production for requirements involving dimensions, optical path length, sample volume, optical windows or Z Height, closures and connections, fabrication and tolerances. Send a dimensioned drawing or labelled sketch and identify the dimensions and tolerances that matter to your application. Prototype batches typically involve 2–4 cells; final feasibility, quantity, price and production time are confirmed in the project quotation. Discuss your requirements and quote part number C102CS40.
