Description

The C104SR2 is a quartz (fused silica) standard cuvette with 10 mm path length and four-way light optical windows (all four sides optically polished), designed for fluorescence and UV-Vis and NIR spectrophotometry across 190–2500 nm. The four-way configuration allows simultaneous excitation and emission measurements at 90° — the standard geometry for fluorescence spectroscopy. Fabricated using Sintered 83 — a high-temperature sintering process at 600 °C that fuses quartz components without adhesive — achieving >83% transmittance with excellent chemical resistance to acids, bases, and organic solvents. Includes a stopper for chemical-resistant sealing. Supplied as a pack of two for cost-effective parallel or comparative experiments.

The four-way (all-clear) optical windows enable simultaneous 90° excitation and emission — essential for fluorescence spectroscopy. All four faces are polished to the same standard, so you can rotate the cuvette and use any pair of opposing faces. The standard 10 mm path provides direct Beer-Lambert law compliance (A = εlc), making concentration calculations straightforward.

Usage Tips: Handle by the top rim only — all four faces are optical windows. Fill to at least 15 mm above beam height. Orient excitation through one face with detector at 90°. Use matching cuvettes for blank reference. Clean with spectroscopic-grade solvent and lint-free tissue. Compatible with Shimadzu, Agilent, PerkinElmer, Thermo Fisher, JASCO, Horiba, and most fluorescence/UV-Vis spectrophotometers.
