Choose this option
Choose C104CD9 when you need a 10 mm path in a small-volume quartz cell but want more nominal capacity than lower-volume versions of the same general format. The open top is useful for direct pipette loading and visual checks during filling, and the four-way optical arrangement suits fluorescence work that needs side access as part of the setup.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path in an ultra-micro cuvette format.
- 200 µL nominal capacity for methods that need more fill in this cell style.
- Four-Way Light configuration for optical access from multiple sides in supported fluorescence use.
- Open-top body for direct filling and sample exchange without a built-in closure system.
- JGS1 quartz material for quartz-cell use where this grade is specified.
Using this cell
Load the sample from the top and fill to a level that fully covers the illuminated region during measurement. In small-volume cells, stable pipetting, bubble control and clean optical faces all matter. Use the same seating direction for blank and sample runs so the measurement geometry stays consistent.
The 200 µL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume. Your actual fill still needs to suit the holder and beam position in your instrument.
First-use check
- Inspect the cuvette for visible chips, dust or handling residue.
- Rinse with a liquid suitable for your method before first use.
- Place the cell in the holder and confirm stable seating.
- Run a blank and verify that the filled sample region covers the beam correctly.
Fit and optical alignment
Check the holder, sample compartment and beam position before ordering, especially if your setup uses a fixed beam height or a tightly sized holder. This product is identified as an ultra-micro cuvette, but released customer-fit values for Z Height and full external dimensions are not available here, so fit should be checked against your actual holder clearance.
If you need help reviewing fit, send the holder model or a dimensioned sketch with the available space and beam location.
Solvents and cleaning
Quartz is used here as the cell material, but chemical limits for the complete selected assembly are not specified with exact concentration, temperature or contact-time conditions. If your method uses aggressive reagents or dedicated cleaning solvents, check the full conditions before use.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. General background guidance is available here: https://machinedquartz.com/fabrication-method-of-cuvettes/.
Included with this option
Supplied as 1 cuvette. A closure or other accessories are not listed here for this option.
Availability and ordering
Order this specification directly, or contact us to check current availability and dispatch timing. If temporarily unavailable, additional preparation or production time may be needed. For a required delivery date, contact us before checkout; preparation or production is separate from carrier transit and customs clearance.
Discuss a custom version
We coordinate custom JGS1 quartz production for changes involving dimensions, optical path length, sample volume, optical windows or Z Height, closures and fabrication requirements. Send a dimensioned drawing or labelled sketch, together with holder details, sample conditions and your target quantity. Prototype batches typically involve 2–4 cells; feasibility, final specifications, price and production time are confirmed in the project quotation. https://machinedquartz.com/contact/ and quote part number C104CD9.
