Using this cell

Fill the cell so the liquid level covers the optical section used by your instrument, then clear any visible bubbles before measurement. The open top makes it easier to pour, pipette and inspect the sample directly, which is helpful when working with larger fill volumes or when you need to rinse thoroughly between samples.

For repeatable readings, keep the same face orientation for blank and sample measurements and handle the cuvette by the outer non-optical surfaces. The 80 mL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume, so partial-fill methods should be checked against your own beam height and measurement setup.

First-use check

Before first use, inspect the cuvette for chips, cracks or transit damage, then rinse it with a suitable liquid for your method. Place it in the holder, confirm that it seats securely, and run a blank to check beam coverage and orientation in your instrument.

Fit and optical alignment

The body dimensions for this cuvette are 137.4 × 20 × 40 mm, with the size applying to the cell body and an open top above the sample chamber. Check holder width, seating length and the free space above the cuvette if your instrument compartment is tight or if filling access is limited.

Solvents and cleaning
