Description

C012CR is a quartz standard cuvette for methods that use a 1 mm optical path in a simple beam-through arrangement. This open-top version pairs a compact 350 µL nominal capacity with direct top access, making it practical when you want a short-path rectangular cuvette that can be filled, inspected and rinsed without a threaded or flow-through fitting. A closure is included with the cuvette.

Using this cell

Load the sample from the top and make sure your fill level covers the measurement beam before reading. For consistent work, keep the same orientation for blank and sample, and remove visible bubbles from the optical region before placing the cell in the holder.

The included closure is useful as a cover during normal handling, but this cuvette is not presented as a pressure-rated or leak-tested assembly. If your workflow depends on sealed storage, aggressive solvent contact or a defined closure material, review those conditions before routine use.

First-use check

Inspect the cuvette and closure for visible damage after unpacking.
Place the empty cuvette in your holder to confirm seating and clearance.
Run a blank using your normal fill practice to confirm beam coverage and orientation.
Check that your sample and cleaning routine are suitable for the complete assembly before regular use.

Solvents and cleaning

Chemical limits are not established here for this exact selected assembly. If solvent compatibility matters to your method, check the complete cuvette-and-closure combination against your sample, rinse and soak conditions before routine use.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Rinse promptly after use and wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
