Using this cell

Fill the cell from the top and keep the liquid level high enough to cover the optical path used in your setup. Before measurement, check the viewing area for bubbles or droplets on the transmission faces, especially after hand filling or rinsing.

Because this is an open cell body, it is best used upright on a stable holder or work surface during filling and transfer. Handle the cuvette by non-optical surfaces where possible, and keep the same orientation for blank and sample measurements.

First-use check

Inspect the chamber and optical faces for chips, residue or handling marks before first use. Rinse with a liquid suitable for your method, place the empty cell in the holder to confirm seating and beam access, then run a blank before routine measurements.

Fit and optical alignment

The listed external dimensions, 34 × 29 × 32 mm, apply to the uncapped cell body. Use these body dimensions to check holder clearance, side access and top access, particularly if your instrument has a fixed well or a lid above the measurement position.

Solvents and cleaning

Avoid organic sample solvents and organic cleaning agents; if your work depends on organic-solvent use, ask about a more suitable Sintered or Molded alternative.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
