C024WS1 is a quartz flow cell for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 2 mm optical path and a 700 µL nominal capacity. This version combines that short path with a Four-Way Light layout, making it suitable for setups that need side optical access in addition to the primary transmission direction.

The cell uses two opposed fluid tubes with 4 mm outer diameter and 2 mm inner diameter, and the stated overall length is 76 mm. Those are the main fit details to check when planning tubing approach, support placement and the available straight-run space around the installed cell.

Using this cell

Install the cell inline through the two opposed tube connections and support it so the tubing does not place bending load on the quartz connection ends. Fill at a controlled rate, then inspect the visible optical region before measurement to make sure the sample path is fully wetted and free of bubbles.

The 700 µL figure is the nominal volume of the cell itself. For washout timing or sample-change planning, include the rest of the fluid circuit rather than treating the cell volume as the whole system volume.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and tube ends for dust or residue.
Verify that your tubing matches the stated 4 mm OD / 2 mm ID connection size.
Run a suitable blank and inspect the light path for bubbles.
Confirm that the installed cell is supported without stress on the tube connections.

Fit and optical alignment

The published 76 mm overall length is useful for checking linear clearance and tubing approach. External body dimensions are not established here as a released fit specification, so path length alone should not be treated as proof of holder compatibility.

Z Height is also not listed for this model. If your instrument uses a fixed beam-centre height or a closely constrained holder position, please confirm the required optical-axis height before ordering.

Solvents and cleaning

Molded 83 is commonly chosen for methods involving organic solvents and for applications that may include temperature control. Choose cleaning and sample-contact materials for the full wetted assembly, including the tubing and fittings connected to the cell.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Rinse promptly after use and wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
