C024WS3 is a compact quartz flow cell for UV/Vis spectroscopy, built around a 2 mm optical path and a 700 µL nominal cell volume. Using this cell

Install the cell into a suitable liquid line using the two fixed opposed tubes. Fill slowly so the optical region wets evenly, then inspect the light path before measurement to make sure bubbles, residue or droplets are not left in the sample region.

For routine UV/Vis work, establish your blank after the flow path has filled completely. The listed 700 µL value refers to the cell itself, not to the total liquid held in connected tubing, valves or reservoirs.

First-use check

Inspect the quartz body and both fixed tube ends for visible damage or contamination.
Make sure your tubing arrangement suits the 4 mm OD / 2 mm ID connection size.
Rinse with a suitable liquid for your method, fill slowly, and confirm that the optical region is free of bubbles before use.

Fit and optical alignment

The cell body is 38 × 4.5 × 12.5 mm. A separate overall span of 76 mm is shown for the fixed-tube assembly, so holder space and tubing approach should be checked as two different fit questions: seating around the optical body, and clearance for the projecting tubes.

Z Height is not listed for this SKU. If your instrument has a fixed beam position or a close-fitting holder, check beam height and holder contact points directly rather than relying on outer body dimensions alone.

Solvents and cleaning

This cell is made from JGS1 quartz with Molded 83 fabrication. For flow applications, choose sample and cleaning liquids with the full wetted assembly in mind, including any tubing and fittings attached in your system.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Clean the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue and use a cleaning routine that suits both the cell and the connected flow path.
