Using this cell

Fill the cell so the liquid covers the full measurement region, then remove visible bubbles from the optical path before measurement. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs, and hold the cell by the outer surfaces rather than the optical faces.

The supplied closure is useful for covering the sample during routine handling and measurement. It should not be treated as a pressure or leak-tight specification, because no pressure rating is stated here.
