Four-Face Quartz Flow Cell: Reviewing a Two-Top-Tube Layout (MQQFL019)
Custom design guide · MQQFL019
The illustrated version uses two top tubes to keep the sides available for optical access. This guide explains that layout; confirm the connection positions for the ordered configuration before checking fit.

Review the illustrated tube route with the required optical faces
For fluorescence planning, tubing can obstruct a side that the optics need. The version illustrated for MQQFL019 places two adjacent quartz tubes above a four-face body, leaving the side connections out of that optical layout. It is a useful arrangement to discuss where access through adjacent faces matters.
The illustrated dimensions show a 12.5 mm-square, 45 mm-high body and a 60 mm fixed height with the top tubes. The nominal path is 10 mm and the listed capacity is 3.5 mL. Confirm the tube configuration on the order drawing before relying on that envelope.
The listed configuration
Configuration to confirm: Connection positions remain to be confirmed for the ordered configuration. The top-tube layout shown here is an illustration to review, not a confirmed delivery specification.

How the structure differs from a conventional cell
In the illustrated layout, liquid delivery is arranged through fixed tubes above the optical body rather than through its loading opening. Both tubes move the connection-clearance problem overhead. The required optical faces, holder contacts and hose bends still have to be planned together; four transparent faces do not make all directions accessible after installation.

Keep the clear optical directions while reviewing the tubes
If the setup needs access through adjacent sides but has a low compartment lid, mark those faces, the beam positions and support contacts. Then draw the permitted tube and fitted hose outline. We can review the illustrated routing against the enclosure instead of changing the optical body unnecessarily.
Identify the holder footprint and 10 mm path as fixed if they already suit the method. Add the actual hose or fitting and the operating conditions. The internal route and inlet/outlet assignment also need to be agreed for the selected configuration.

Three checks for the proposed setup
- Ordered layout. Confirm both connection positions on the applicable order drawing.
- Clear optical faces. Show which directions must remain free of holder parts and tubing.
- Upper envelope. For the illustrated version, include 60 mm fixed height plus hoses and removal access.
Set the optical position before routing the hoses
Once the connection layout is confirmed, plan body location and independent hose support, followed by filling in the intended orientation. Observe bubbles and retained liquid before evaluating the optical method. The fused-construction description does not itself supply a pressure limit or chemical-compatibility approval.
What should be confirmed before using the illustrated height in a fit check?
Confirm that the ordered version has the illustrated two-top-tube arrangement and its fixed dimensions. Then add the fitted hose bends and removal movement. Send the enclosure and holder sketch so the order drawing can be checked against the actual optical and mechanical constraints.
Engineering dimension reference
The reference records known external dimensions and configuration notes. Internal geometry, tolerances and operating limits still require a project-specific specification.
