Description

The C352CS is a quartz custom cuvette with 35mm path length and two-way light optical configuration — two opposite vertical faces are polished to optical grade, forming the standard transmission geometry for UV-Vis absorbance measurements. With a 5ml internal volume (35 × 10 × 43 mm chamber), the cell is compatible with most commercial spectrophotometers. Fabricated using Sintered 83 (>83% transmittance) — high-temperature sintered to fuse quartz panels without adhesive. Showcases the 35mm custom two-way format with 5ml capacity, optimized for specific instrumentation requiring the 35mm path geometry.

Why Two-Way Light?

Two-way light cuvettes have two opposite vertical faces polished to optical grade, forming the standard transmission geometry for UV-Vis absorbance measurements. The remaining two faces are frosted to minimize stray-light interference, providing clean baseline performance for quantitative spectrophotometry.

Why Open Top?

This cuvette features an open-top design without a cap or cover, providing unrestricted access to the sample chamber for easy filling, mixing, and cleaning. The open design is ideal for workflows requiring frequent sample changes, titration experiments, or when using dip probes and fiber-optic accessories that need direct access to the liquid surface.

Why Sintered 83?

Sintered 83 uses high-temperature sintering to fuse quartz panels without adhesive, delivering >83% UV transmittance from 200–2500 nm. The sintered joints are chemically inert and compatible with strong acids, bases, and most organic solvents (excluding HF and aggressive organics such as toluene and acetone). This fabrication is ideal for analytical workflows involving harsh chemical matrices where standard glued cells would degrade.

Usage Tips

  • Rinse with a compatible solvent (e.g., ethanol or the measurement solvent) before first use to remove any residual particles.
  • Do not use abrasive materials or brushes on the polished optical faces — wipe gently with lens tissue.
  • Compatible with strong acids, bases, and most organic solvents (excluding HF and aggressive organics such as toluene and acetone).
  • Store in the original protective case to prevent scratches on the optical windows.
  • For baseline correction, fill with your reference solvent, and run a blank before sample measurements.
