Using this cell

Load the sample through the neck and fill so the liquid covers the beam during measurement. Remove visible bubbles from the optical region before reading, and keep the cell orientation consistent between blank and sample if your procedure depends on a fixed beam direction.

The neck is a filling opening. It should not be treated as evidence of a sealed flow circuit, supplied stopper or pressure-rated assembly. If your method depends on a closure, connected tubing or controlled coverage above the sample, please review that requirement before ordering.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and neck opening for chips, residue or handling marks.
Rinse with a suitable liquid for your method.
Confirm that the cell seats securely in the holder without interference from the neck height.
Run a blank at the intended wavelength before introducing sample.

The body base is 12.5 × 3.5 mm and the body height is 45 mm. The neck dimensions are listed separately as 6.5 mm outer diameter and 4.1 mm inner diameter, and the total bare height of this necked form is 95 mm. These are the key dimensions to check for holder seating and vertical clearance.

Solvents and cleaning

This option uses Molded 83 construction. In MQ selection terms, this construction is generally chosen for organic-solvent methods and applications involving temperature-controlled work, but chemical compatibility still depends on your actual sample, cleaning liquid, contact time and operating conditions.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
