1mm Quartz Long-Neck Cuvette, 0.35ml, Molded 83, Two-Way Light, 1pc/ea, C012WS1
Description
The C012WS1 is a 1mm-path-length quartz long-neck cuvette with 2 polished optical faces (Two-Way Light) and an internal volume of 0.35 ml. Exterior dimensions measure 12.5 × 3.5 × 95 mm, with an interior chamber of 10 × 1 × 40 mm. The narrow 1 mm path length is purpose-built for highly concentrated or strongly absorbing samples that would saturate the detector in a standard 10 mm cell. The elongated neck allows easy pipette access while reducing sample waste. Built with Molded 83 fabrication (monolithic fused-quartz construction — no adhesive joints), the C012WS1 delivers optical transmittance of >83% across a wavelength range of 190–2500 nm.

Why Two-Way Light Transmission?
Two opposing polished optical faces define the beam path for standard UV-Vis absorbance measurements. The frosted or ground side walls prevent stray light from entering the detector, ensuring accurate absorbance readings. This is the most common configuration for Beer-Lambert law measurements, concentration determination, and kinetic assays.
Why Molded 83 Fabrication?
The C012WS1 is manufactured using Molded 83 fabrication — a process that produces a monolithic, seamless quartz body with no adhesive joints. This one-piece construction eliminates the risk of solvent attack on bonded seams, making it fully compatible with concentrated acids, strong bases, and virtually all organic solvents (excluding HF). With optical transmittance exceeding 83%, Molded 83 cuvettes deliver superior baseline stability and long-term durability, making them the preferred choice for demanding analytical workflows.
• Rinse with an appropriate solvent (ethanol, dilute acid, or deionized water) before first use.
• Handle by the frosted or upper walls — avoid touching polished optical faces.
• This cuvette is withstands all common laboratory solvents, concentrated acids, and bases. Avoid HF (hydrofluoric acid).
• After use, rinse immediately and allow to air-dry inverted on lint-free tissue.
• Store in the original packaging to prevent scratches on optical surfaces.
