C014WS3 is a JGS1 quartz flow cell for UV/Vis work where you need a 1 mm optical path together with optical access from more than two sides. This format combines Four-Way Light geometry, two fixed tube connections and a 350 µL nominal capacity, making it useful for in-line measurement layouts that also need side access around the cell body.

Using this cell

Connect the cell into the flow line and introduce the blank or sample slowly so the optical region wets evenly. Before measurement, inspect the illuminated section for bubbles or residue and allow the cell and connected tubing to stabilise under your operating conditions.

The stated 350 µL is the nominal cell volume only. It should not be treated as the total priming or changeover volume of the complete fluid path.

First-use check

Inspect the cell body and tube ends for chips, residue or transport damage.
Trial-fit the cell and confirm that the holder leaves room for both fixed tubes and the required optical access.
Fill gradually with a suitable blank and remove bubbles before recording a baseline.

Fit and optical alignment

Use the 38 × 3.5 × 12.5 mm body dimensions to check holder seating around the optical section. The body dimensions describe the main cell body, while the installed layout must also leave room for the fixed tubes and for optical access from the sides you plan to use.

Z Height is not specified for this item. If your instrument depends on a defined beam-centre height, confirm that requirement before ordering rather than inferring it from the overall shape.

Solvents and cleaning

This cell uses Molded 83 fabrication. This construction is commonly selected for organic-solvent methods and applications involving temperature-controlled work, but sample and cleaning conditions should be judged for the complete wetted system, including any fittings attached to the fixed tubes.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Rinse after use and wipe the external optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
