Original price was: $108.00.$98.00Current price is: $98.00.
C102CD13 is a JGS1 quartz ultra-micro cuvette for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 10 mm optical path, Two-Way Light configuration and 50 µL nominal capacity. Its 8.5 mm Z Height suits holders and beam layouts built around a lower optical centre. Supplied as 1 cuvette, with a closure included.
Description
C102CD13 is an ultra-micro JGS1 quartz cuvette for UV/Vis spectroscopy when you need a standard 10 mm optical path in a small sample format. This version combines a 50 µL nominal capacity with an 8.5 mm Z Height and a Two-Way Light layout, so it is best chosen for holders that align to a lower beam position. Supplied as 1 cuvette, with a closure included.

Choose this option
Choose C102CD13 when your method needs a 10 mm transmission path but your setup is built for a lower optical centre than a full-height cuvette. The open-top body gives direct access for filling and rinsing, while the 50 µL nominal capacity keeps the sample region compact without moving to a shorter path length. It is a practical choice for UV/Vis work where holder fit and beam height matter as much as volume.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path keeps a familiar transmission length in an ultra-micro format.
- 50 µL nominal capacity supports small-volume handling while still giving a defined sample chamber size for routine filling.
- 8.5 mm Z Height places the optical centre low in the body, which is important for beam-height matching.
- Two-Way Light configuration is arranged for transmission through the main optical faces used in UV/Vis measurements.
- Open-top cell body allows direct pipetting access and straightforward rinsing between runs.
- Standard 80 adhesive-bonded construction is best suited to room-temperature water-based samples and buffer-type methods.
- 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm body dimensions help with holder planning; these dimensions apply to the body only.
Using this cell
Fill the cell from the open top and make sure the liquid fully covers the illuminated part of the sample chamber before measurement. The 50 µL figure is a nominal capacity for the cell, not a minimum working volume, so your actual fill level should be set by beam coverage and stable, bubble-free handling.
Use the same orientation for blank and sample if your procedure depends on consistent positioning. The included closure covers the cell for use and handling, but this model should not be treated as a pressure-rated or sealed flow cell.
First-use check
- Inspect the optical faces and chamber for dust, residue or handling marks.
- Place the cuvette in the holder and check that it sits upright and fully supported.
- Add enough liquid to cover the beam path without trapping bubbles.
- Run a blank in the same orientation you will use for the sample.
Fit and optical alignment
The body dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm, and that size applies to the cell body itself rather than an assembled height with closure or any fixture. Check that your holder supports that body size and leaves enough clearance above the opening and closure area for filling and removal.
The optical centre is 8.5 mm above the cell base. That low beam height can be useful in compact or specialised holders, but it needs to match your instrument geometry. If your spectrometer or accessory is designed around a different beam centre, confirm the fit before ordering.
Solvents and cleaning
This cuvette uses Standard 80 adhesive-bonded quartz construction. It is generally suited to routine room-temperature water-based samples and buffers. If your method involves organic solvents, aggressive cleaning agents or other demanding chemical conditions, check the full assembly suitability before use.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials. Clean the optical faces gently with suitable non-abrasive lab or optical tissue.
Included with this option
