Our precision quartz XRD sample holders are engineered for accurate powder X-ray diffraction analysis. Manufactured from high-purity fused quartz (JGS1 fused silica), these holders deliver consistent, reproducible results across all major diffractometer platforms.
Universal Compatibility
MachinedQuartz XRD sample holders are dimensionally compatible with Rigaku, Bruker, PANalytical (Malvern Panalytical), Shimadzu, and most other commercial diffractometers. Available in standard 25×75mm and 45×35mm footprints, with round, square, or rectangular sample reception cavities from 5mm to 30mm diameter.
Available Configurations
We offer rectangular holders with shallow cavities (0.2–2mm depth) for thin-film and powdered samples, round-well holders for small volumes, and zero-background holders for trace analysis. All holders are precision-machined to ±0.05mm tolerances, ensuring flat, reproducible sample loading.
Why Quartz for XRD?
Fused quartz produces no diffraction peaks of its own, making it ideal for low-background XRD measurements. Its thermal stability (up to 1100°C), chemical inertness, and low thermal expansion coefficient ensure dimensional stability during heated stage measurements.
