C0.22WS2 is a JGS1 quartz demountable cuvette for very short-path measurements in a compact flow-through format. It combines a 0.2 mm optical path, 16 µL nominal capacity and two opposed tube connections, so it suits setups where you need a small sample region in line with narrow tubing. The quartz body is specified for 200–2500 nm use.

Using this cell

Connect the two tube openings to suitable tubing and fill the cell slowly so the sample region wets evenly. Before measurement, check the optical region for bubbles or trapped residue, as either can affect a short-path reading more than in a larger chamber.

This is a demountable cell with a removable cover plate. Keep the measurement orientation consistent between blank and sample runs, and handle the optical faces carefully during assembly and cleaning.

Inspect the optical faces, tube openings and body edges for dust or handling residue.
Check tubing fit against the 1.5 mm OD / 1 mm ID connection dimensions before routine use.
Fill slowly with a suitable blank and confirm that the illuminated region is free of visible bubbles.

Fit and optical alignment

Solvents and cleaning

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive laboratory tissue and use a mild aqueous cleaning approach for the wetted path.
