Original price was: $86.00.$78.00Current price is: $78.00.
C102SS42 is a quartz micro cuvette for UV/Vis spectroscopy with a 10 mm optical path, a 1.05 mL nominal capacity and a 3 mm sample slit in a Two-Way Light layout. The included closure gives you a covered micro-volume format for routine filling and measurement. Sold as 1 cuvette per listed price unit.
Description
C102SS42 is a quartz micro cuvette for UV/Vis work with a 10 mm optical path and a stoppered micro-volume body. This version uses a 3 mm sample slit and a 1.05 mL nominal capacity, giving you a defined illuminated region with more chamber volume than the narrower-slit options in the same family.

Choose this option
Choose C102SS42 when your method keeps the standard 10 mm path length but you want a micro cuvette with a clearly defined 3 mm sample region and a covered chamber. The 1.05 mL nominal capacity is a useful guide when you need more filling room than a smaller micro cuvette while still working in a compact UV/Vis cell format.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path for UV/Vis methods set up around this standard path length.
- 3 mm sample slit defining the region your beam should pass through.
- 1.05 mL nominal capacity in a micro cuvette format for moderate small-volume work.
- Two-Way Light with included closure for covered handling in routine measurements.
Using this cell
Fill the cuvette so the liquid fully covers the illuminated region during measurement. Keep blank and sample in the same orientation, and check that bubbles, droplets and dried residue are not present in the beam path before measurement.
Insert the closure carefully after filling. It supports covered handling during normal laboratory use, but this page does not establish a pressure, transport or leak-tight rating for the assembled cuvette.
First-use check
- Rinse the cuvette with a suitable liquid for your method.
- Inspect the windows and optical faces for dust, residue or handling marks.
- Run a blank in the intended measurement orientation.
- Confirm that the filled sample fully covers the beam path in your instrument.
Fit and optical alignment
The practical fit question is whether your beam lines up with the 3 mm slit region, not only whether the cell can be placed in the holder. Beam footprint, holder opening and available compartment clearance should all be checked if your setup is compact or uses a fixed beam position.
Z Height is not provided here, so instrument fit should not be assumed from path length and nominal volume alone. If your instrument depends on a defined beam-center height, please send the holder model or a drawing before ordering.
Solvents and cleaning
Choose the cleaning routine for the complete assembled cell rather than the quartz body alone. The chemical limits of this exact cuvette and closure arrangement are not fully specified here, so aggressive chemicals, organic cleaning steps, elevated temperature and long contact times should be reviewed before routine use.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Clean the outer optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue. For general fabrication background, see Compare fabrication options.
Included with this option
1 cuvette per listed price unit. Closure included.
Availability and ordering
Order this specification directly, or contact us to check current availability and dispatch timing. If temporarily unavailable, additional preparation or production time may be needed. For a required delivery date, contact us before checkout; preparation or production is separate from carrier transit and customs clearance.
Discuss a custom version
We can review custom JGS1 quartz versions for changes involving dimensions, optical path length, sample volume, optical windows, Z Height, closures or tolerances. Send a dimensioned drawing or labelled sketch and identify the dimensions and tolerances that matter to your method. Discuss your requirements and quote part number C102SS42.
