Using this cell

Fill the cell so the intended illuminated region is covered during measurement, then keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs. This matters when your setup uses the secondary path or side optical access, because consistent face orientation helps keep the measurement geometry unchanged from run to run.

The 1.75 mL figure is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a minimum working volume. If your instrument uses a fixed beam height or a small beam footprint, set the fill level by the actual beam position in your holder and check for bubbles before measurement.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, chamber and closure seating area before first use.
Place the empty cell in the holder to confirm body fit and top clearance.
Run a blank in the intended orientation and check that the beam passes through the intended sample region.
Confirm that the fill level covers the illuminated area without bubbles or residue on the optical faces.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated external dimensions, 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm, apply to the uncapped cell body. Use those body dimensions to check holder fit and insertion clearance, and leave additional space above the cell because the installed height with the closure is not established here.

Z Height is not available for this SKU. If your fluorescence accessory or holder depends on a defined beam-centre height, please check alignment in your own fixture rather than relying on the external body size alone.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Molded 83 fabrication. This MQ fabrication option is commonly selected for organic-solvent methods and applications involving temperature control, but suitability still needs to be judged for the complete assembly and your actual chemical conditions.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid with quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue. Where your method involves aggressive chemicals, elevated temperature or long contact time, check compatibility for the exact sample and cleaning routine you plan to use.
