Original price was: $300.00.$270.00Current price is: $270.00.
C104SR1 is a JGS3 quartz stoppered cuvette for infrared and fluorescence work with a 10 mm optical path, Four-Way Light access and 3.5 mL nominal capacity per cuvette. The full-size body and included stopper suit direct filling and covered sample handling in methods that use this geometry. Supplied as a pack of 2 cuvettes, with stoppers included.
Description
C104SR1 is a JGS3 quartz stoppered cuvette set for infrared and fluorescence measurements that use a 10 mm optical path in a full-size rectangular body. Each cuvette provides Four-Way Light access and a 3.5 mL nominal capacity, so you can fill directly from the top and keep the sample covered with the included stopper when your handling routine calls for it. The stated wavelength range for this option is 260–3500 nm.

Choose this option
Choose this set when you need a covered 10 mm quartz cell for infrared or fluorescence work and want two cuvettes in the same listed geometry. The combination of a full-size 3.5 mL body, top filling and side optical access is useful when your method calls for a standard-width cell that is easy to fill, inspect and handle on the bench before measurement.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path suits methods specified around that path length in a conventional rectangular cell format.
- Four-Way Light configuration gives optical access from the sides of the cell body, which is relevant for transmission-style use and for fluorescence setups that use side access with compatible beam geometry.
- 3.5 mL nominal capacity per cuvette pairs a full-size sample region with direct top filling, making routine loading more straightforward than very small-volume formats.
- Stoppered format lets you cover the sample after filling, which is useful when you want the sample region closed during handling or measurement.
- JGS3 quartz is the stated material grade for this infrared-range option, with a stated operating range of 260–3500 nm.
- Pack of 2 cuvettes provides two cells in the listed specification, with stoppers included.
Using this cell
Fill the cell from the top opening and use the stopper when your procedure benefits from keeping the sample covered. The 3.5 mL nominal capacity and 10 mm path give this cuvette the feel of a regular full-size cell rather than a narrow micro-format, so it is suited to straightforward pipetting and visual checking of the sample before measurement.
If you use both cuvettes in the same run, keep the orientation and filling approach consistent. As with other optical cells, avoid bubbles, droplets and residue in the light path area.
First-use check
Inspect both cuvettes under good light, then place each one in the holder you plan to use. Before routine measurements, run a blank or reference liquid and verify that your normal fill level covers the beam position used by your instrument.
Also check that the stopper can be fitted and removed comfortably within the available top clearance of your compartment or accessory.
Fit and optical alignment
The body dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm. These dimensions apply to the rectangular body only and are useful when checking holder clearance around the cell itself.
The stopper is separate from that body height, so top clearance should be checked where instrument lids or covers sit close above the cuvette. Z Height is not listed for this option, so instruments or holders with a fixed beam-center requirement should be checked in practice before routine use.
Solvents and cleaning
This option is described by the supplier as having fused integrated construction. For day-to-day use, treat it as an assembled quartz stoppered cell and choose rinsing and cleaning steps that are appropriate for the complete cuvette-and-stopper setup rather than assuming a particular fabrication grade or universal chemical resistance. For general fabrication background, see MQ Cuvette Fabrication Glossary.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials. Specific chemical limits for this exact assembled cell are not listed here, so aggressive sample chemicals, rinse solvents and long contact times should be reviewed for the full assembly before use.
Included with this option
Supplied as a pack of 2 stoppered cuvettes. Stoppers are included.

Discuss a custom version
We coordinate custom JGS1 quartz production for requirements involving dimensions, optical path length, sample volume, optical windows or Z Height, closures and connections, fabrication and tolerances. Send a dimensioned drawing or labelled sketch and identify the dimensions and tolerances that are critical to your application. Prototype batches typically involve 2–4 cells; feasibility, final specifications, quantity, price and production time are confirmed in the project quotation. Discuss your requirements and quote part number C104SR1.
