Using this cell

Fill each cuvette so the illuminated region is fully covered before measurement, then check for bubbles, droplets or residue in the optical path. Keep the same seating orientation for blank and sample runs so the beam passes through the same part of each cell.

The stated 1.05 mL value is the nominal capacity of each cuvette, not a minimum working volume. If your method uses a lower fill level, check that the beam still passes fully through liquid in your own setup.

First-use check

Inspect both cuvettes and lids for chips, dust or visible residue.
Test-fit one uncapped cell in your holder and confirm clearance for the lid separately.
Run a blank at your intended fill level and confirm full beam coverage without bubbles.

Fit and optical alignment

The listed 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm dimensions apply to the uncapped cell body. Use those dimensions to check holder fit first, and allow additional top clearance if the lid remains in place during measurement.

Z Height is not listed for this model, so do not assume beam-center alignment in holders or spectrometers that require a known beam height. The 3 mm sample region should also be checked against your beam footprint if your instrument uses a broader beam.

Solvents and cleaning

This cuvette uses Standard 80 fabrication with an adhesive-bonded quartz body. For routine room-temperature water-based samples and buffers, this is the usual selection direction. Avoid organic sample solvents and organic cleaning agents with this construction.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning methods. Clean the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue, and choose a cleaning routine that suits both the quartz body and the PTFE lid.
