Using this cell

Fill the cell so the sample covers the beam path area, then close it with the supplied cap if your procedure calls for a covered cell during transfer or measurement. Keep the optical faces clean, and use the same orientation for blank and sample when your method depends on consistent positioning.

This is a Two-Way Light cuvette, so measurement is through one opposing pair of optical faces. Before reading, check for bubbles, droplets or residue on the windows and around the top opening.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, top opening and cap before first use. Rinse with a method-compatible blank or cleaning liquid, make sure the cap seats cleanly, and run a blank to confirm that the filled sample level covers the measurement beam in your instrument.

Fit and optical alignment

The base dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 mm, so the cell keeps the familiar square cuvette footprint while reducing body height. That can help where a taller screw-top cell may interfere with the sample compartment cover or nearby accessories above the holder.
