Using this cell

Fill the cuvette so the liquid fully covers the instrument beam, then fit the PTFE closure before moving the cell into the holder. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample measurements, and keep the optical faces free from fingerprints, droplets and bubbles.

Hold the cuvette by non-optical surfaces where possible. If your method involves repeated opening and closing, refit the closure evenly before each run and check the filled sample region visually before measurement.

First-use check

Inspect the cuvette and closure for transit damage, visible particles or residue.
Rinse with a cleaning liquid suitable for your method and for the complete cuvette-and-closure assembly.
Run a blank in the intended orientation and confirm that the filled sample region covers the beam.
