Choose this option
Choose C102CR8 when direct top access matters in daily handling. The open-top cell body is straightforward to fill, empty and inspect, and the confirmed 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm uncapped body helps you check holder fit before ordering for a specific instrument.
What makes this option different
- Open-top cell body for direct filling and rinsing.
- 10 mm optical path with 1.4 mL nominal capacity in a micro cuvette format.
- 4 mm sample region in a Two-Way Light transmission layout.
- PTFE lid included; sold as 1 cuvette per listed price unit.
Using this cell
Fill the cuvette from the top and check that the liquid fully covers the illuminated region before measurement. Keep the optical faces free from fingerprints, droplets and dried residue, especially along the transmission faces.
The 1.4 mL figure is the nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume. If your method runs at lower fill levels, confirm coverage in your own holder and beam geometry. For blank and sample work, use the same seating direction each time.
First-use check
- Inspect the optical faces and the top opening under good light.
- Test-fit the empty cuvette in your holder before filling.
- Rinse with a method-appropriate liquid.
- Run a blank and confirm that your normal fill level covers the illuminated region without bubbles.
Fit and optical alignment
The confirmed dimensions refer to the uncapped body: 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm, with 45 mm also the uncapped overall height. These dimensions help with holder and compartment planning, but they do not define the installed lid envelope.
Z Height is not established for this SKU. If your setup depends on a fixed beam-center position, check the seated beam alignment in your instrument rather than relying on outer body size alone. The 4 mm sample region should also be checked against your beam footprint.
Solvents and cleaning
This cuvette is described by the supplier as a powder-fused construction. A final MQ fabrication label is not established for this SKU, so selection here should be based on the confirmed geometry and intended use rather than a named fabrication category.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. If your method involves aggressive chemicals, extended contact or a specific cleaning solvent, check suitability for this exact cuvette before use.
Included with this option
1 cuvette per listed price unit. Closure included.
