Using this cell

Fill the cell so the illuminated region is fully covered and free from bubbles or streaks across the optical path. When running blanks and samples, keep the same orientation in the holder so the beam passes through the same faces and the same part of the sample region.

The 1.05 mL figure is the nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume. If you use lower fill levels, check by inspection that the liquid still covers the beam position under your actual measurement conditions.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces for dust, residue or transit marks before use.
Rinse with a suitable liquid for your method and wipe the outside optical faces gently with a non-abrasive optical tissue or laboratory wipe.
Run a blank first and confirm that the beam passes cleanly through the filled sample region without clipping or trapped bubbles.

Fit and optical alignment
