Quartz 10mm Micro Fluorescence Cuvette, 1.4 ml, Molded 83, Four-Way Light, PTFE Cap, 1pc/ea, C104CE20
Description
The C104CE20 is a precision quartz micro fluorescence cuvette with 10 mm path length and four optically polished faces, suitable for both fluorescence and absorbance spectroscopy across 190–2500 nm. With the chamber narrowed to 4 mm width, the working volume drops to 1.4 ml — 60% less than a standard 3.5 ml cell — while the full 10 mm optical path is preserved for Beer–Lambert quantification. The four-way light design allows 90° fluorescence geometry through any adjacent face pair, making this cell equally at home in a fluorimeter or a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Built by the Molded 83 process (1200 °C fusion, ±0.02 mm tolerance), the cuvette achieves >83% transmittance and the tightest dimensional uniformity available — critical when matching reference and sample cells for differential fluorescence measurements. Sealed with a PTFE cap for routine chemical resistance.

Applications
Molded 83 — Premium Optical Precision
Molded 83 cuvettes are formed at 1200 °C, fusing the quartz components into a monolithic body with ±0.02 mm dimensional tolerance. This is the tightest tolerance among all fabrication methods and matters most in fluorescence work: matched sample and reference cells eliminate cuvette-to-cuvette variation that would otherwise appear as noise in emission intensity comparisons. The high-temperature bond is adhesive-free, making Molded 83 compatible with aqueous buffers, organic solvents, and dilute acids/bases alike.
Why Micro Volume?
Internal quartz masking walls narrow the measurement chamber to 4 mm while maintaining the full 10 mm optical path (Beer–Lambert law: A = εlc). This saves 60% of sample compared to a standard 3.5 ml cuvette, making it ideal for precious biological samples, expensive fluorescent reagents, or limited column fractions. The micro volume design keeps the sample at full column height — compatible with all spectrophotometer beam heights (8.5 mm, 15 mm, or 20 mm) without verification.
