(C102CS51) Quartz Micro Cuvette, 100 mm Path, 7 mL
Description
C102CS51 is a JGS1 quartz micro cuvette with a long 100 mm optical path in a slim, open-top format. The 2 mm sample channel and 7 mL nominal capacity make it suitable for methods that need an extended transmission distance without moving to a wider body. A lid is included, and this listing is supplied as 1 cuvette.
The cell uses a Two-Way Light layout and an uncapped body size of 102.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm. That long, narrow geometry is often the first thing to check when you are planning holder space, top access and beam direction together.

Choose this option
Choose C102CS51 when your method calls for a 100 mm path length in a narrow-body quartz cuvette with direct top access. The long optical run, open-top filling access and 2 mm sample channel are the key reasons to select this option, especially when you want to pipette, inspect and rinse the cell from above rather than work with a permanently closed assembly.
What makes this option different
- 100 mm optical path for methods that require a long transmission distance through the sample.
- 2 mm sample channel in the measurement region, with a slim internal slit-style geometry.
- Open-top construction with lid included for direct filling, inspection and rinsing.
- 102.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm uncapped body for checking holder length, seating and surrounding clearance.
Using this cell
Fill the cell from the top and make sure the illuminated region is fully covered during measurement. Keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs, and inspect the channel after filling so that bubbles or residue do not remain in the reading area.
The 7 mL figure is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a minimum working volume. Set the actual fill level according to your beam position and method, especially if only part of the full channel length is illuminated in your setup.
First-use check
- Inspect the cell for chips, visible residue and shipping damage.
- Rinse with a liquid suitable for your sample and cleaning method.
- Check that the cell seats correctly in the holder.
- Run a blank and confirm that the filled sample covers the active optical region without trapped bubbles.
Fit and optical alignment
The uncapped body measures 102.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm. Use those dimensions to check insertion space, holder support and nearby covers or clamps, and allow separate clearance for the included lid above the open top.
This is a Two-Way Light cell, so the beam should pass through the intended opposing optical faces. Z Height is not established here, so do not treat the overall body height as a confirmed beam-center fit for a specific instrument.
Solvents and cleaning
This cuvette uses Standard 80 adhesive-bonded quartz construction. Standard 80 is commonly chosen for room-temperature water-based samples and buffer solutions. If your method involves organic solvents, select a more suitable fabrication approach instead of treating this cell as a general organic-solvent cuvette.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid with quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. If the included lid will contact the liquid, base your chemical check on the complete wetted assembly rather than the quartz body alone.
Included with this option
Supplied as 1 cuvette. A lid is included.
Availability and ordering
Order this specification directly, or contact us to check current availability and dispatch timing. If temporarily unavailable, additional preparation or production time may be needed. For a required delivery date, contact us before checkout; preparation or production is separate from carrier transit and customs clearance.
Discuss a custom version
We coordinate custom JGS1 quartz production for requirements involving dimensions, optical path length, sample volume, optical windows or Z Height, closures and fabrication. Send a dimensioned drawing or labelled sketch together with your holder or instrument details, critical dimensions, wavelength range and sample conditions. You can start the discussion at Discuss your requirements and reference C102CS51.
