Fill the cell from the open top with a pipette or similar controlled transfer method, then inspect the sample region before placing the cell in the holder. During fluorescence work, keep the optical faces clean and use a consistent orientation for blank and sample measurements.

The 2 mm dimension here relates to the sample-region slit width for this option, not to a general instrument setting or a minimum fill claim. Introduce the sample carefully so the illuminated region is properly covered and free of visible bubbles.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces under good light and remove dust or handling residue before first use. Then fill with your blank, place the cell in the holder and confirm that the measurement region is covered and visually clear.

Fit and optical alignment

The stated 12.5 × 12.5 × 70 mm dimensions apply to the cell body. Use them to check holder width, depth and height clearance, especially if your fixture has a deep pocket, a top retainer or limited vertical space above the cell.

Four-Way Light describes the optical access arrangement, but it does not by itself establish fit with every fluorescence holder.
