Using this cell

Fill the cuvette so the sample fully covers the illuminated region, then keep the same orientation for blank and sample runs. Remove visible bubbles before measurement, and handle the cell by non-optical surfaces to keep the windows clean.

The screw-top format is convenient for sample preparation, capping and transfer between steps. It should be used as a closure for routine handling, not as a pressure-rated connection or closed-loop flow component.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces, opening and closure seating area for chips, dust or residue.
Run a suitable blank to verify holder fit and beam alignment before measuring samples.
After filling and capping, confirm that the light path is free of bubbles and exterior residue.

Fit and optical alignment

The external body dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 × 54 mm, with a 35 mm body height and 58 mm overall height with the cap fitted. When checking holder fit, allow for both the square body section and the extra height above it for cap access.

Z Height is not listed for this SKU, so beam-center compatibility should be checked against your holder or instrument requirement rather than inferred from the outer height. The 3.5 mL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume.

Solvents and cleaning

For a method with a defined optical path tolerance, specify that tolerance and its measurement conditions when selecting the Molded 0.01 option. The final requirement is agreed for the order.

This cuvette uses Molded 0.01 fabrication and a quartz body. Molded 0.01 is selected for quartz cells used in projects with tighter path-length requirements, but sample and cleaning conditions should still be considered for the complete cuvette and closure assembly.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning materials. Wipe the optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue. If your work involves aggressive chemicals, elevated temperature or long contact time, check compatibility for the assembled cell before use.
