C104CD11 is a JGS1 quartz ultra-micro cuvette for fluorescence spectroscopy with a 10 mm optical path, Four-Way Light configuration and 100 µL nominal capacity. Its open-top design allows direct pipette filling and visual inspection of the sample region. Sold as 1 cuvette per listed price unit.
Description
C104CD11 is a JGS1 quartz ultra-micro cuvette for fluorescence measurements that combine a 10 mm optical path with a 100 µL nominal capacity. Its open-top format allows direct filling, while the Four-Way Light configuration provides optical access from multiple sides for suitable beam and detection geometries. This makes it a practical choice when you need a small sample chamber without adding a fixed closure above the opening.

Choose this option
Choose C104CD11 when your fluorescence setup uses a 10 mm path and benefits from side optical access around a small-volume sample region. The open top is useful when you want straightforward pipette loading, visual checking and easy access between runs. This option is best selected by the actual geometry of your holder and beam path, especially when your setup depends on precise beam placement in a small chamber.
What makes this option different
- 10 mm optical path suits methods built around this path length in an ultra-micro cell format.
- 100 µL nominal capacity supports small-sample loading without moving to a larger chamber.
- Four-Way Light configuration provides optical access on four sides for suitable fluorescence measurement geometries.
- Open-top sample chamber allows direct pipette filling, visual inspection and easy access during cleaning.
- JGS1 quartz body gives you a quartz-cell option for fluorescence laboratory use.
Using this cell
Fill the cell from the top with a pipette and check that the illuminated sample region is fully covered before measurement. With a small nominal volume, it is worth checking for bubbles and keeping the same orientation for blank and sample when your holder does not tightly constrain positioning.
The stated 100 µL is a nominal capacity, not a guaranteed minimum working fill. Your actual fill needs to cover the beam path in the instrument geometry you are using.
First-use check
- Rinse the sample chamber with a liquid suitable for your method.
- Inspect the optical faces for residue, particles or droplets.
- Load a blank and confirm that the filled region covers the beam path.
- Repeat with the sample in the same orientation used for the blank.
Fit and optical alignment
Four-Way Light is useful when your method needs optical access beyond a simple two-face transmission layout, but it does not by itself establish compatibility with every fluorescence instrument. Holder clearance and beam position still need to match the geometry of this ultra-micro cell.
Z Height is not released here as a confirmed customer specification, and the full external dimensions are not established as a guaranteed fit envelope. If your instrument has a fixed beam height or a close-fitting holder, send the holder model or a labelled drawing through Discuss your requirements before ordering.
Solvents and cleaning
JGS1 quartz is widely used for laboratory optical cells, but the chemical limits of this exact assembly are not established here. If your method involves demanding solvents, elevated temperature, long contact time or unusual cleaning liquids, check those conditions before ordering.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning methods. For general background on cuvette fabrication approaches, see compare fabrication options.
Included with this option
